Pre-requisite - Introduction to Computers, or prior knowledge of basic operation.
Objective - To gain a working understanding of desktop publishing software
Students enrolled in this course will learn to use several graphic design software applications and will receive a working understanding of layout and design.
Students will be working both individually and as part of a team. They will be designing the quarterly Newsletter and Youth Magazine.
Upon completion of the course, students will be proficient in the use of several industry standard graphical applications.

Objective - To gain proficiency in web design
Those enrolled in this program will have the opportunity to learn the software used in web design. The course covers the principles and history of the web, software used for image manipulation, layout, design and web creation.
At the end of the course, students will be able to create web pages and have a solid understanding of layout and design. Students enrolled gain real world experience, as they will be designing and maintaining elements for Childhope's own web site.
